What is Computer?
      A computer is an electronic machine that can accept data, processes the given data by performing arithmetic "(+,-,x,/)" & logical "(<,>,=)" operations on the data to produce the desired results.
     

  Note : The word computer is derived form the Latin word "Compute" which means to Calculate.


Basic Terms in the Field of Computers

1. Hardware: A computer's hardware consists of electronic devices (every components); the physical or tangible part of the computer is called hardware. Like Cables, Monitor, Keyboard, CPU, Mouse, Mother Board, RAM, etc.
2. Software: A program or set of programs, used to give commands to the computer for the desired results.
3. Data: A collection raw facts and figure is called data, which can include text, numbers, images, audio, videos, etc.
4. Information: The processed form of data is called information. It is an organized but more meaningful form of data.
5. User: A person who more computer system and its resources.

Information Processing Cycle (IPC)

     Information processing cycle consists of a series of tasks or steps required to convert data into information.
